Respiratory System of Leech and How it Works-
The way that leeches take in oxygen is through their skin. A quite interesting way that the leeches preform gas exchange is by moving their body in a sort of wavy like motion. Leeches that live under water (aquatic) have to come to the surface eventually if their isn't enough oxygen for them.
Fun Fact: During the nineteenth century, weather forecasters would use leeches to predict the weather. Since atmospheric pressure decrease would lower the amount of dissolved oxygen. They'd put the leeches in a jar full of water and when they floated out for some oxygen, the forecasters could predict the atmospheric pressure and see if their would be good weather or not.

Cellular Respiration Formula
The way it basically works is that sugar is burned down to carbon dioxide and water which releases energy which in other words is ATP
How ATP Works
ATP is the result of cellular respiration. The necessity of ATP is to create energy. ATP is the part where a section of the chemical bond created by cellular respiration is broken off ultimately giving the body energy to preform many things such as breathing, moving, etc. Then as it breaks off and is used, a new bond is created so as to replace the lost one for more energy in later use. This process is called ADP. Then it all repeats endlessly.
